Dear Sixth Grade,

        Sixth Grade is an exciting, wonderful time in your life - full of changes, challenges, and new adventures.  You will "spread your wings" and learn to fly a little on your own. Together, we will take this journey.  We will learn from each other, grow together, and have a wonderful experience.

    You will need to stay focused on your school work because, at times, the outside world is overwhelming. Know that I will be here to help you during this changing time.  I promise to work with you and your parents to make this a fun and rewarding experience for all!
 
    I am looking forward to a terrific year - one filled with challenges and excitement.  I hope you are too!
