Rehearsal Attendance Policy Our time in rehearsal is very important.  Each Concert Choir student is expected to attend all of our rehearsals.  Our choir has the potential to be a fantastic one, as long as our choir members are committed to consistently attending and actively participating in rehearsals.  In order to reach our goal of performing to the best of our ability, it is necessary to enforce the following attendance policy: Students are permitted to miss no more than eight (8) rehearsals per "concert season" (the amount of time between our first rehearsal and the next concert).  If a student misses four (4) rehearsals, Mrs. Teitsma will make a phone call to the student's parent.  If a student misses six (6) rehearsals, Mrs. Teitsma will send a letter home to be signed by both the student and the parent.  If the student misses more than eight (8) rehearsals, Mrs. Teitsma will unfortunately need to have the student step out of Concert Choir until the next "concert season." Please note that, in order for a student to earn credit for being at a given rehearsal, he or she must be present at rehearsal for at least 20 minutes, whether he or she comes late or leaves early. Rehearsal Schedule Updates  **PLEASE NOTE** Only rehearsals changed from our regular Wednesday and Friday (from 7:30 to 8:05 AM) rehearsal times will be noted on this web page. Please assume we will have rehearsal each Wednesday and Friday morning (as noted in the Concert Choir Handbook given at choir rehearsal) unless a change is noted here. **WINTER WEATHER** In the event of a delayed opening due to inclement weather or other reasons, we will not hold rehearsal. Email Distribution List In the unlikely event that Concert Choir rehearsal is cancelled, there is a notification system used by Mrs. Teitsma to inform parents of these last-minute changes. A handout/permission form will be sent home with each choir student regarding this email distribution list. If you would like to be a part of this list, please return the handout to Mrs. Teitsma ASAP. **PLEASE NOTE** Only unplanned changes will be emailed; it is the responsibility of the student to stay posted on announcements regarding planned changes.
